Angel Flight Australia is a charity that co-ordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people. All flights are free and assist patients or compassionate carers travelling to or from medical facilities anywhere in Australia.
Angel Flight pilots do not carry aero medical staff or medical equipment so does not act as an alternative to the Flying Doctor (RFDS) or Air Ambulance in that capacity. Angel Flight services are entirely free. Angel Flight pilots donate their time, their skills, and the bulk of their aircraft costs for each flight.

THE RIDE

The ride will be from “Turavale”, the property of Ray and Judy Matthews, 3257 Bauple Woolooga Road Woolooga. For those who are regulars to the Kilkivan Great Horse Ride this is the start of the “Old Coach Trail”. Riders will travel through the Woolooga country side across to “Thornside” at Upper Widgee. Riders will be able to obtain food and drinks at Smoko and Lunch on the ride.
After lunch we will ride to the Bushman’s Bar and Horse Sports Complex at Widgee. We expect to arrive there at approx. 4.30pm

WEEKEND PROGRAM

Friday the 12th October
There will be a BBQ/Licensed Bar from 4pm.
Hot Showers and Toilets
Free Camping
Free entertainment featuring the band “EIGHT GAUGE”

Saturday the 13th October 
Hot breakfast available early Saturday morning.
Ride to start at 7.30am. “SHARP” as the trail is approx. 36 kilometres.
Smoko and BBQ Lunch available on ride. Lunch will be at “Thornside Cattle Yards”, Thornside Road Widgee.
FREE Bus from Widgee back to Woolooga to collect vehicles. 
Meals available at the Bushman’s Bar from 5.30pm.
Free concert featuring the band from Cherbourg “MUDDY FLATS”. 
Multi draw raffle and auction.
Hot showers and toilets. Spraying available for horses returning to “Tick Free” areas.
Camping, $11 per camp site.

Sunday the 14th October
Hot breakfast and lunch will be available.
The day will feature a great day of Junior and Senior Horse Sports. 
(NB Juniors MUST wear helmets and boots.) 
A novelty event to find the Widgee Iron Man & Woman.
