In 2006 Toyota Australia and Ken Mills Toyota became the major sponsors of the first Toyota Kilkivan Country Talent Search. In our first year we had a great response, and the Gympie based group Branded were the outright winners.
The Kilkivan Great Horse Ride Association is now calling for nominations for the 2007 Toyota Kilkivan Talent Search. There will be for the winner a cash prize of $1000.00 and a full day of recording time, enabling the winner to record their country music of choice at the Woodhead Studios, Beerwah. (Visit their web site at www.woodheadstudios.com ). The runner up will receive a cash prize of $750.00 and the third place getter $250.00.
Nominations will be taken from the 1st September 2006 and will close on the 31st December 2006 to enable the planning of heats. The heats again will be held at Widgee at the Bushman's Bar on March 3rd, 17th and 31st, and the finals will be held at the Concert for the Kilkivan Great Horse Ride on Saturday the 14th April 2007.
